Types of printed circuit boards

Single-sided PCBs only have one side to mount electrical components as they only contain one conductive layer. They’re inexpensive but rarely seen in industrial devices. Double-sided/double-layer PCBs have conductive material on both sides. Components on either side of the board can be connected with through-holes. Multi-layer PCBs have three or more layers, all of which are conductive. Components and material of a PCB

Snap lock follows a similar mechanism but is easier to remove. Press-fit/blind-hole type has fins that hold on to bind holes. It is easier to use on applications that have space restrictions. Adhesive base type contains adhesive tape; it saves time, space, and effort by eradicating the need for mounting holes.
