Info About adidas Australia & adidas Australia Store

Adidas is a world-renowned international giant in the sports industry. Headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, Adidas is the second largest manufacturer of sports goods in the world.

History

Established in 1924 by Adolf Dassler, in its infancy, Adidas was created to name just sporting shoes. These shoes often have spikes in their soles for superior grip during track events.

Adolf Dassler was joined by his brother, Rudolf Dassler, although for a very short period of time. Rudolf soon left to start his own sporting company, Puma, which till date is one of Adidas's biggest competitor.

The famous sprinter Jesse Owens was known to sport Adidas shoes in the 1936 Olympics. This helped the brand massively take off and become the phenomenon it is today.

Sponsorships

Being the world's top sports brands don't come easy. Adidas sponsors hundreds of players from hundreds of sports. When it comes to football, they sponsor some of the greatest names the sport has ever seen, Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard and Kaká just to name a few. They also sponsor Manchester United and Real Madrid among other teams.

Adidas was known to sponsor Andy Murray for a staggering 25 million dollar contact spanning over 5 years right until the end of the 2014 tennis season. They also have been known to sponsor other big names such as Kobe Bryant in basketball, Sachin Tendulkar and Lasith Malinga in cricket.

Products

Adidas offers worldwide international shipping on all their products. These products can be anything from clothing to footwear, to accessories, and sporting gear. Apart from personal products, they also have bags, balls and water bottles among other necessities.

Adidas also features an even more expansive selection based on the sport, be it something as common as football or more obscure sports such as rugby.
