Peter came up with this idea of built-in underpants when he experienced a sense of discomfort because of his underpants while traveling. He felt the discomfort was adding problems to his mobility. Peter and Jeffrey also took part in a reality show named Shark Tank to win their company's investment money. Unfortunately, the duo failed to win any.

It manufactured shorts with built-in underwear first and later improvised and widened the concept by manufacturing pants with built-in underwear. Birddogs manufactures shorts of various kinds like bathing shorts, khaki, oxford, and gym shorts. What makes these clothing comfortable is a mixture of cotton and spandex. In contrast, the liner comprises a combination of polyester and spandex, which is equally stretchable and smooth.
