Info About Funko & Funko Store

Founded 22 years ago, in 1998, by Mike Becker, Funko was started as a small project. Mike Becker wanted to create some themed toys that are nostalgic and low tech. When he released his products in the market, it became an instant hit and took the pop figurine market by storm.

Products that are developed by Funko

Funko deals with many pop culture collectibles ranging from Harry Potter to Disney characters, Star Wars to DC comics characters. The company that started from a small room in Washington later expanded and went on to have storefronts in four different locations and a headquarter in Everett, WA. Apart from the figurines, the company also manufactures plush toys, t-shirts, mugs, keychains, among other merchandise. Funko has also published strategy games, which include their flagship game Funkoverse in different licenses.

Collaborations and convention exclusives

Funko has collaborated with various franchises like Marvel, DC, and Disney to launch various collector box subscriptions on different occasions. These subscription boxes included apparels, figurines, accessories, and collectibles respective to the fandom. Funko has also been a part of various conventions, offering fans to collect exclusive Funko pops. They have started their journey in conventions in 2006 with the San Diego comic con and went on to continue their journey with New York Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, Fan expo, among many others. Warner Animation Group is also in the process of developing a movie based on the Funko toys, which will create a record of having crossovers of Marvel and DC universes if the film is produced.
