Info About Banana Boot & Banana Boot Store

Slogan T-shirts such as LOVE MUSIC - HATE FASCISM and ANTI-FASCIST ACTION lead the offer of Banana Boot, a shop in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. It sells clothes, accessories, buttons, music and merchandise for people in alternative culture, with sections for metal, punk and political items. Shirts come in unisex and girlie cuts, and one kids shirt is made from organic cotton.

Banana Boot began in December 1997 as a second-hand shop on Dalberg in Aschaffenburg, selling used records, books and odds and ends before secondhand clothing was added. It moved to Entengasse in October 1998 and then to Riesengasse in August 1999, where it stayed until February 2009. From a pure second-hand shop it grew into a department store for alternative youth culture. A short-lived branch operated in Berlin from December 2004 to February 2006.

The shop's motto is "From the scene - for the scene", with a stated commitment to social and sustainable business. It still carries second-hand records, books and films next to new clothing. Orders ship within Germany and worldwide.
