History
Gerry Harvey and Ian Norman met while working as a door to door salesman dealing in vacuum machines. Eventually, they started their own store and went through multiple iterations before being the Harvey Norman that is known today.
In 1993, they decided to venture out into the world of furniture and other electronics as well. Harvey Norman was one of the first Australian companies to sell Microsoft as well as Apple products outside of the original distributor.
