HUUS grew out of a DIY project that did not work. Founder Justina and her husband Marc wanted a quieter room for calls and concentration at their Berlin office. The room they built themselves was neither comfortable nor flexible, so the couple looked for ready-made solutions that met their most important criteria. The name HUUS means "little house" in the Germanic language.

The HUUS One is an ergonomic phone booth that two or three people can set up in about an hour, without an electrician. Its soundproofing layers combine MDF boards, foam and wool felt, and the booths reduce noise by up to 36 dB. The HUUS Call is a premium single-person phone box with 2 dB better sound insulation than the HUUS One. The HUUS Four is an ergonomic meeting box, and the HUUS Meet is a meeting room for up to four people. Box colours can be chosen from the RAL palette, and a dimmer is available as an add-on.

The company describes its products as made in the EU, with designers, engineers and producers working across Berlin, Vilnius and Turin. Sustainability is built into its approach through carefully selected materials and long-lasting construction. New products carry a 2-year warranty that excludes upholstery and fabric covers. HUUS also gives a voluntary 100-day return right on the first box ordered, in which case the buyer pays only assembly and disassembly flat fees.
