History
In the late 1800s, Gustav Geolitz and his two younger brothers started what they called “The Geolitz Confectionary Company.” Originally dealing exclusively in candy corn and butter creme, today they have over 100 different varieties of confectioneries.
Jelly Belly has been known to be the candy of choice to the ex-president of the US, Ronald Reagan, who mentioned his gratitude for the candy as supposedly no meeting could begin without passing a jar of Jelly Belly among the dignitaries.
They have also made a special jelly bean which was the first to be in space during the Challenger missions in 1983.
